My name is Simon. I am an Integrative Psychotherapist blending Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychosexual Psychotherapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). I have been working as a therapist since 2014 and in mental health since 2006.
Like many therapists I am committed to continuous learning and so also draw on aspects of Compassion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems therapy and Meta-Cognitive Therapy, as well as meditation and mindfulness practices.
Though I work with a vast range of presenting problems, my area of special interest and expertise is LGBTQ+/GSRD shame.
I am respectful, warm, open and flexible. Our therapy will be collaborative, creative and evolving. Together we will look for ways to improve your relationship with yourself and enhance your experience of life.
In line with ethical practice, regulatory bodies and accreditation requirements, I regularly receive clinical supervision for CBT, PST and EMDR and attend various CPD events and conferences throughout the year.
